Construction on the new all abilities play space and amenities at the Picton Botanic Gardens will commence on Monday 29 January.
The designs for the new play space were developed in consultation with the community and includes a toddler play area, large unique play feature, sensory boardwalk and a new accessible amenities building.
During the construction phase, the car park off Regreme Street will be closed and the existing playground, public toilets and duck pond area will be closed to the public as a construction zone.
The nearest playground and amenities are located at RSL Memorial Park, Picton.
The project is being funded through the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, the NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program and Council.
Construction is expected to be completed in May 2024
