Jervis Bay Marine Rescue Record Year

Volunteers at Marine Rescue Jervis Bay had their busiest year ever in 2024, completing 131 search and rescue missions

Looking at their demand over the first two months of this year, rescue numbers at Jervis Bay are on par with the start of 2024. They have performed 42 rescues in the first 2 months of this year after racking up 15 in February.

It’s the first time since Feb 2022 that Marine Rescue Jervis Bay has been listed as the busiest unit in the Illawarra region with Marine Rescue Port Kembla regularly completing the most rescues in the Illawarra region each month.
