At about 11am Friday the 21st February 2025 a black Mercedes Benz was spotted speeding on the Hume Highway.
Police located the vehicle a short time later at Marulan, the occupants, a 42-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, were with a stolen white Hyundai. It is alleged that the woman took off in the Mercedes, at speed, swerving towards police in the process.
With the assistance of PolAir the pair were tracked to Tallong where both occupants were arrested. It is alleged that a prohibited firearm and various drugs were also located.
The couple face multiple charges, including Take Drive Conveyance without the consent of the owner. Both have been bail refused by police and will appear at bail court on Saturday, 22nd February.
Further investigations into the matter are continuing.
