After 10 years of fundraising, the Archer statue is to be unveiled by the great grandson of Etienne DeMestre, Tim, at the next race meeting on Easter Sunday 20th April at the Shoalhaven City Turf Club.
The plinth was laid last Wednesday and the statue is being installed next Wednesday.
The man who has organised the statue Ian Whitby said, a small ceremony is programmed in between races on the 20th of April at about 3pm.
