Changes to Shoal Bus Route 134

January 7, 2025 7:08 am in by

In response to community feedback, a South Coast bus route is to be changed to allow a faster and more direct connection between Sussex Inlet, Sanctuary Point and Huskisson.

The changes to existing Route 134, operated by Shoal Bus, will come into effect from 20 January 2025.

The revised bus Route 134 will continue to commence at Berrara and Sussex Inlet but will be changed to operate via Island Point Road through St Georges Basin and Sanctuary Point, then to Vincentia and terminating at Huskisson.

This means people from Berrara and Sussex Inlet can catch a single bus service to Sanctuary Point, or further north to Huskisson.

The changes mean that Route 134 will no longer operate via Tomerong. While there will no longer be a bus connection between Tomerong and Vincentia, Tomerong will remain connected to Nowra via the existing bus Route 135.

The revised Route 134 will be updated on digital timetables and travel apps.

The community will be able to continue to access real-time trip information such as the location of their bus and how full it is, just as they can now via the Transport for NSW Trip Planner tool and other third-party public transport apps.

Changes to bus services on the South Coast follow the Nowra Bus Passenger forum in October 2023, and a comprehensive “Have Your Say” which garnered almost 10,000 individual submissions with ideas on how bus services could be improved across the state.
