NSW Ambulance is urging people to stay informed regarding the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecast for continuing severe heatwave conditions for Illawarra, Metropolitan, Snowy Mountains, South Coast, Southern Tablelands from Friday, 14 March.
NSW Ambulance Chief Superintendent Steve Vaughan, Associate Director of Emergency Management said people need to keep updated with severe heatwave conditions likely to impact Batemans Bay, Bowral, Nowra, Parramatta, Richmond and Wollongong.

“Severe heatwave conditions are continuing over parts of southern and coastal NSW over the next few days and will gradually ease early next week,” Chief Superintendent Steve Vaughan said.
“I urge people in those areas to stay hydrated, keep cool and check in on those more vulnerable and more susceptible to the heat such as the elderly, young children and those with preexisting medical conditions.”
