A terrifying halloween experience for young trick or treaters who watched on as a man was stabbed at Worrigee.
At about 5.25pm yesterday (Thursday 31 October 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Riveroak Road.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 33-year-old man at the scene for a stab wound to the right leg. He was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from South Coast Police District were informed that the older man was the driver of a vehicle, and the younger man was riding a pushbike with several other males.
It will be alleged that there was verbal altercation between the two men that became physical.
A short time later an 18-year-old man was arrested at a home on Parramatta Street, Nowra.
He was taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding and was refused bail to appear at Nowra Local Court today (Friday 1 November 2024)
